Our client, a value-driven, technologically inclined company passionate about providing swift, dependable technical support and IT services to its customers to enable them to grow and succeed in emerging markets, is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Project Manager (IT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT projects and excellent communication skills. In this role, you will develop and manage project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. You will also identify and manage project risks and issues, communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, and ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined and achievable.
- Define project tasks and resource requirements, working with project team members and other stakeholders to ensure that resources are effectively allocated and utilized.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, develop contingency plans, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including senior management, providing regular updates and ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project developments.
- Coordinate project team members, ensuring that project tasks are completed on time and within budget and that project milestones are met.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that vendors deliver on their commitments and that their work aligns with project objectives and quality standards.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time, conducting regular reviews and implementing quality assurance processes as needed.
- Ensure project documentation is complete and up-to-date, maintaining accurate records of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
- Ensure that projects comply with company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable regulations or industry best practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other relevant methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage project risks and issues, developing effective mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project success.
- Experience managing vendor relationships with a focus on ensuring vendor performance and accountability.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is highly desirable.
