SEMICONDUCTOR & ASSEMBLY SOLUTIONS (SAS)

Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to drive the development and growth of the Structural Polymers product line into Semiconductor Assembly market, by increasing market share and profitability. Work closely with Line of Business Director to develop and execute strategies that will fill product gaps through changes in product positioning or new product development, support the changing needs of customers and applications and leverage our strengths in adjacent markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in our Structural Polymers product portfolio for a variety of Camera Module, Lid sealing and L1 Underfill or other applications and, in conjunction with Strategic Marketing Manager, develop appropriate Business Cases and Specifications for NPD or Application Development initiatives.
  • Work closely with R&D and Operations to develop key product specifications and drive final commercialization of final products.
  • Engage with Quality and Operations on Process Change Notifications (PCNs) and work with commercial team to ensure effective communications and roll out to customers.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Strategic Account teams and Regional Leaders to conduct regular TRM exchanges with key customers. Disseminate learnings to R&D and Applications teams to determine impact on existing or new projects.
  • Develop our product positioning strategy for Structural Polymers product line and communication of the positioning strategy to the commercial and strategic account sales channel.
  • Assessment of competitive polymer technology competition offering and determination of appropriate response.
  • Provide regular support to global commercial teams for Adhesive paste related issues including, technical inquiries, product recommendations, pricing, etc…
  • Organize and /or participate in remote and on-site customer or partner presentations, seminars, training, etc…
  • In conjunction with LOB Director develop and execute Marketing Communications Plan for Adhesive products.
  • Development of total cost of ownership models to demonstrate value of Adhesive paste
  • Work with commercial teams and use CRM tools to determine the highest value opportunities where Marketing support could help close the business more quickly.
  • Work with other MacDermid Alpha businesses to determine how best to leverage technologies from more than one business to create value for customers.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (i.e. engineering, sciences, etc.)

Five to seven years related experience in product management and marketing

Competencies

  • Must be able to travel up to a maximum of 25% of working time globally and domestically.
  • Familiarity with the camera module and/or High Performance Computing Semiconductor assembly industries
  • Be a team member participating in a cross-functional team environment translating customer needs into technology solutions.
  • Possess leadership skills and the ability to drive project goals via influence on the organization
