Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.
Your role
- Analysing clients' eligibility to claim benefits under double taxation agreements, as per their legal structure, residence and investment type.
- Managing the tax relief at source processes, by completing and gathering the relevant documentation in due time and following up the process until acceptance by the sub-custodian or tax administration.
- Collaborating with the IT department to implement regulatory changes in the IT tools.
- Ensuring all data is up-to-date to avoid production errors. Working in close collaboration with the different teams of the Tax department.
- Ensuring that securities are correctly codified (from a tax point of view).
- Carrying out inquiries and searches concerning country-specific tax questions.
Your profile
- University degree in economics, management or law, with a major in tax legislation and taxation.
- At least 3 years of experience ideally within the tax department of an audit/tax firm or the tax/back office department of a bank with a focus on tax recovery operations and withholding tax reclaims.
- Strong ability to manage stress and a strong team spirit.
- Results-driven and impact-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Familiar with taxation of financial instruments and able to identify areas of risk.
- Supportive of the use of technology, strong proficiency in MS Office standard products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good knowledge of banking systems (e.g. Avaloq).
- Knowledge and skills in Business Object, SQL, Tableau and Mendix will be considered as an advantage.
- Fluent in French and English, German would be an asset.
