Junior EHS Advisor [Ireland]

We are currently recruiting for a Junior EHS Advisor to join our QEHS Team in Dublin 15 on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will assist in the development and enforcing of EHS policies and procedures while attending sites to conduct audits. This role will ensure companywide compliance with both health and safety and environmental legislation and will involve any investigations as required where these standards have not been met or maintained.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct daily administrative duties with regards to EHS documentation to include archiving daily and weekly Health & Safety GeoPal paperwork (SWP’s, GA3’s, Van Checks and Permits, etc.), while also taking responsibility for the monitoring of incoming SWPs and RAMs sign off sheets to ensure detailed information has been entered and the correct RAMS are being issued and signed
  • Monitor the Company’s Safety Observation Reporting (SOR) and Behavioural notices
  • Research, compile and issue ‘In the Know’ communications and safety alerts
  • Production and issuing of EHS Site Safety Folders for site teams upon request
  • Gathering of data and KPI reports from EHS Advisors and the Quality Assurance department for the compiling of the EHS Monthly report for review by the Head of EHS
  • Assist with the compiling of both Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) along with PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) documentation
  • Implement and oversee Company specific guidelines, processes and documentation to support in the addressing and enforcing of the required standards within both health and safety and environmental legislation
  • Observe personnel on-site to ensure EHS compliance. This will include monitoring specialist subcontractors, agency and direct employees
  • Assist with the coordination of incident investigations and utilise root cause analysis
  • Ensure continued compliance with all regulatory standards including ISO14001 & ISO45001
  • Be proactive in identifying both positive and negative incidents while possessing the ability to implement realistic corrective and preventive measures
  • Ordinate and manage electronic inductions
  • Create & develop content for the EHS intranet to include best practice policies & procedures
  • Assisting management where required
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Degree qualified, in an EHS discipline
  • A minimum of a years’ experience in a fast-paced commercial environment is desirable
  • Possesses knowledge of Irish Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and regulations
  • Full drivers license as travel to various site will be required
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Construction industry advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to generate detailed reports
