All about the role:
At the Electrolux Group, we aim to ensure a stable supply of products, components and services that maintain a high level of quality and relevant innovation. In this position, you will work within the Product Sourcing organization, where you’ll have the challenge of ensuring a broad scope of OEM products for several different Product Lines within the Asia, Pacific and European regions. What you’ll do:
As a Direct and Indirect Purchasing Buyer you will participate actively in the process of initiating and completing the company's strategy in purchasing of direct and indirect materials.
- Manage and develop good relationships with local and global suppliers in accordance with commodity directives.
- Support and implement all relevant commodity strategies and collaborate in budgets building
- Collaborating with category managers and ensuring execution of the sourcing activities and relevant information.
- Provide correct information flow from the factory into commodity organization (give input on production needs (e.g. volumes product mix change) and report on possible bottlenecks at the operative level (e.g production/tool capacity etc.)
- Ensure proper administrative work related to Purchasing function in the factory.
- Leading Request for quotation (RFQ) activity in order to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules, and quality
- Maintain a professional working relationship and cross functional collaboration with Quality, Operations, R&D in the Factory and Product Line.
- Place samples orders and tool orders, follow-up on timing and give early warning in case of need.
- Suggest and execute cost-saving/quality improvement activities.
- Negotiations with local and global suppliers in terms of better cost, transport, delivery conditions, etc
- Optimization of supplier base and ensuring proper capacity planning is done with suppliers.
- Purchase orders management.
- Business or technical degree (preferred at university level) or Purchasing professional qualification) preferred
- 2 years relevant experience in engineering, operations, sales, supply chain, logistics, purchasing.
- Experience with project management and as Team player/Team Leader
- Stress resistant.
- Result driven, action oriented with a strong interpersonal skills (communication, collaboration)
- Good negotiating skills and leadership skills
- Ability to think and operate on an operational level.
- Confidence and ability to interface with senior management, internally and externally.
- Any ERP experience (Navision, SAP) and digital approach is highly appreciated
- Fluent English and Ukrainian
