THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
Due to growth we are looking for a skilled Metal Roofer to join our busy Auckland Team. With a passion for Roofing, you will be a strong all-rounder with a broad range of trade skills. As part of our Gunac waterproofing business unit, for the right person, you will have opportunity to learn water proofing over time.
Duties:
- Accurately measure materials required for the job for ordering.
- Install roofing materials to National Building regulations and suppliers guidelines (Materials include Metal roofing and flashing, and assisting with Membrane roofs, and Liquid waterproofing systems).
- Track roof leaks and find solutions for them.
- Remediate poor design issues on roof.
- Identify variations to contracts and report as appropriate.
- Liaising with clients in accordance with Company values
- Inspects projects for safety, follows proper specifications, quality installation, cleanliness, and workmanship.
- Completing metal roofing tasks/duties as directed.
ABOUT YOU:
- 3 years of Roofing/Trade experience
- Experience measuring and quoting on small jobs
- Computer savvy with the ability to use trade-based phone app
- Customer focused
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team
- Honest and reliable in attendance - requires early morning starts
- Site Safe, First Aid, EWP and Working at Heights training will be highly regarded.
- Valid NZ Drivers licence
