Job Summary
Our client is an award-winning property management company that has been operating for almost 3 decades. Although their Head Offices are based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg, they manage and provide services such as leasing management, marketing development and facility management in 5 out of our 7 provinces. Currently managing two large portfolios’ consisting of Retail, Commercial, Industrial and a smidge of Residential properties valued at almost 50 Billion.To replace a member in their team, they are looking for a Supply Chain Manager that will be reporting to the Head of Department and work closely with two other Managers. In this role, you will only be responsible for one of the two portfolio’s for both soft services and hard/technical goods required.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Procurement policy and strategy development, management, and implementation
- Contractor negotiation and management
- Updating and maintaining supplier and procurement database
- Building strong internal and external stakeholder relationship
- Receiving, checking, and approving of vendor application
- Monthly procurement reports
- Monitoring compliance
- Cost optimisation
- Sourcing of vendors
- Monitoring market rates
- A degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role
- CIPS membership
- 5 Years of experience in the property or built environment
- Strong negotiation skills
- A high level of ethics, professionalism, and integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
