You will work in the Production Technology team for Upstream at Northvolt Labs, and you will be responsible for material quality (raw materials, intermediate product, and final product).
You will participate in and drive process improvements, process investigations, and perform tasks to solve problems and meet internal and external customer expectations in terms of quality. You will be participating in the testing of new materials and play an essential role in developing experiments finalized at understanding how the chemical properties of the materials affect Upstream process performance.
Specifically, you have experience with driving projects to link industrial process performance and the chemical properties of materials involved. Experience with powder & solids handling is a plus.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Investigating material properties – Understanding the link between the chemical properties of the material and the process performance and suggesting new materials & methods to improve the process.
Design of experiments – Work closely with the Cathode Active Material Laboratory and the Quality control team to develop experiments customized to increase the chemical understanding of the Upstream process.
Material and information flow improvements - Mainly related to the traceability of raw materials, samples, intermediate products, wastes, and recycled products.
Process quality control - Developing a sampling plan for the process and being the reference function for linking the quality results to the process parameter.
Process quality troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis - Identifying the root cause behind quality issues by performing troubleshooting.
Process development - Being the technical lead for projects related to the abovementioned tasks.
- Work instructions and training - Creating work instructions & training sessions for Manufacturing Technicians and Shift Leaders.
